Process Modeling of Composite Materials
Continuous fiber reinforced composite materials that fabricated by using autoclave are widely used in aerospace and aeronautical apllications.Composite materials that fabricated by this method exposure to high temperature so that some mechanisms responsible for the deformations occur. These mechanisms are material anisotropy, resin cure shrinkage, and tool-part interaction and so on. These mechanisms causes non-uniform stress distribution through the thickness of the material so that undesirable distortions are inevtible. These deformations are called warpage for flat sections and called spring-in for curved sections.During assembly these deformations cause problems so that they should be predicted and eliminated. In the study, these distortions are tried to predicted and eliminated by using finite element method (FEM).
